New Pictures

What a busy month of August!! We were out of town for two weekends (the annual Stinky's Adventure and our good friend's wedding), plus I was called the friday before school started to fill a vacant teaching position at my favorite middle school.Nicky has had lots of appointments for his helmet and is trying to crawl and eat everything in sight! Here are some of my favorite pics of late!!

Nick Helmet: One Month Before and Now Pictures

Bubbaloo has had his helmet for almost a month now, and we are so pleased with the progress! It was a difficult process for us to go through, but we are so glad that we made the right decision. One month down and five more to go.....

The helmet does not bother Nick at all. The only thing we have noticed, is that he is a little more mobile with it off and it's harder to kiss that cute face!!

Now
Before: This picture says it all!!
Now: Look at that cute round head!

It may be hard to see any difference, but as his mom, I can tell you that there is great improvement. His measurements at the doctors before the helmet, front:back and side:side were the same (5), but now his front:back is 5 3/4 and side:side a 5. A great sign, for a normal head front:back is always longer than side:side!!!!

Our Day on the Farm

Jeff and I are lucky enough to have a Sister In Law that lives on a farm. We love Laura (who is about ready to pop out the next Judy baby) and her parents, who live only a soybean field away. On Sunday we got the chance to spend the afternoon with them, celebrating Matt's 30th birthday.

Parents In Law, Bob and Toni have the perfect backyard to host a get together. It is such a neat place to relax and enjoy family. They have spent the last few months building this awesome four seasons room and back patio area.

The back patio is wonderful, with a firepit and fire place that makes you want to cook every meal on. It's like camp only with indoor outhouses! Grandpa and Grandpa in Law Bob doing the manly thing, watching the corn cook.

The perfect backyard party spot!

Nick and Birthday Boy/Soon to be Daddy, Uncle Matt

Aunt Laura, New Judy Baby, and Nick. Laura is due this month and we are sooooo excited!!!

Nick and Uncle Scott

Practicing "I'm too cool for this" look!

All the Judy boys!!!!!

So big!! Standing around with his shoes on, Nick is growing up so fast!

After lunch, we walked over to Matt and Laura's petting zoo! This llama is the newest addition to the family.

The two mamma goats and the babies. The bigger goats in the back are the moms. (The darker one on the left is mom to the black goat and the mom on the right has the twin girls in the front.) The boy goat(the black one) is All male and even through he can't do any damage he defiantly tried to with the ladies. It was a hoot watching the girls smack him down with a well placed headbutt, you go Girls!!!

They even have two donkeys!

You may ask where are the pictures of Nick with the animals. Well, when we got over there, the excitement was too much......

Uncle Scott strikes again.... they really need to hire him at the hospital. He has the magic touch to put all babies to sleep!!

Leaving the Kid at Home

Ok, I'll admit it, life without the Bubbaloo meant Jeff and I would go out, ALOT!! We are blessed to have a group of wonderful friends that we could always count on for a good time. We have know our group for more than 7 years and completely depend on them for emotional and physical support. I don't even want to know how many gallons of adult beverages we have consumed together throughout these years!! We use to be able to get together on a weekly base but now we are lucky to see each other more than once a month! Getting old sucks!!!!

Girls Night!! We had a girls night in June. It was my first night back into complete party mode after being pregnant and lets just say I don't want to repeat it!!! Where oh where did my tolerance go!!! We did almost get kicked out of a local bar for being too loud. That's a point for acting younger than our 30 years. Now I just wish my body could match my mind.

Shannon, Anne, and Mel

Crystal, Shawn, and Selena

Christina and I. What is wrong with my arm?!? Oh, maybe it's that last 10-15 pounds I need to lose to get back to pre-Bubbaloo weight! Let me repeat, getting old sucks!

We actually had a couples night last weekend. Some of us went to the Blues Brothers Tribute Band concert out our outdoor theater and then we all met up at our local hillbilly bar. Here is Anne, Cory, Selena, and Darko wanting for the concert to begin. Notice the tall boys, everything is better with beer.

Jeff and I. Do you see the bar behind us?

Picture of the band. Seating in our seats because of the proximity to the brews ended up being our best decision of the night. The beer was definitely better than the band!!

Am I seeing triple? The girls all wore jeans and the guys khaki shorts.
