Snow Day!

Friday night we were lucky to get some snow and the family decided to go out and play!
Having a child during the winter months is such a joy! The amount of time dressing a child into snow gear is insane and then there is the question "to add another layer or not". But it is great to have an excuse to go play in the snow!
Baby getting ready to go. He was so excited until I started putting on his snowsuit.

Snowsuit on: Check! Baby's ability to bend and sit up: Cheeecc

Oops!!! Mommy put on too many layers. Nick totally did "the Christmas story" fall over! We laughed sooooo hard.

Nick and Daddy discovering the snow.

When it was time to go into the sled he wasn't quite sure what we where going to do. We started in the yard but he was too heavy and we ended up plowing the yard more than sledding. We moved into the driveway and the excitment began.

So fun!

All The Little Spooks!

All the ghosts and goblins came out last night. Although, for our little critter, the late night hours proved to be too much excitement, our family still had a great time.
Our little monkey man!!!

This is the face mommy gets after trying to get the baby to smile
for the zillionth time.

Nick before going trick or treating.

Jeff and I went on a safari and caught this cutie!!

More boys and babies!!

Nicky spent most of the night looking like this. He is a
morning person and not a night owl!!

Although he was a little fussy, he did end up with a nice candy pile.
Mommy and Daddy thank you, Nick.

Beware though, this is the look you get when baby catches you stealing
candy from his pile.

The eyes did me in and so I shared his candy with him. I am such a
nice mommy. Candy before bedtime, Sweet!!!

My Child is Brillant!

Ok, the other day Nick is playing at the table while I am changing my clothes after work. I hear him laughing in the kitchen and peek around the cornor to catch him learning about Science. To say he was enjoying himself and the cats, that were going crazy, is an understatement!
Caught in the act!!

Watch as I drive the cats crazy!! What am I
doing???

Discovering that the sun reflects off the mirror in my
book and I can control it by moving it around, Brillant!!

New Pictures

What a busy month of August!! We were out of town for two weekends (the annual Stinky's Adventure and our good friend's wedding), plus I was called the friday before school started to fill a vacant teaching position at my favorite middle school.Nicky has had lots of appointments for his helmet and is trying to crawl and eat everything in sight! Here are some of my favorite pics of late!!

Nick Helmet: One Month Before and Now Pictures

Bubbaloo has had his helmet for almost a month now, and we are so pleased with the progress! It was a difficult process for us to go through, but we are so glad that we made the right decision. One month down and five more to go.....

The helmet does not bother Nick at all. The only thing we have noticed, is that he is a little more mobile with it off and it's harder to kiss that cute face!!

Now
Before: This picture says it all!!
Now: Look at that cute round head!

It may be hard to see any difference, but as his mom, I can tell you that there is great improvement. His measurements at the doctors before the helmet, front:back and side:side were the same (5), but now his front:back is 5 3/4 and side:side a 5. A great sign, for a normal head front:back is always longer than side:side!!!!
